Yeah this XML/XSLT stuff is designed to give a serious 
seperation of concerns in the web development envirion. 
The approach has been taken to the nth by the cocoon project 
from apache http://cocoon.apache.org but that may be over kill for 
what you are at. 

If you go for an SQLXML/XSLT approach give me 
a shout off list if you need any assistance on 
awhalley at vodafone.ie

 Hmm. Mad, I didn't think it could do that. But yes, I'm looking for
something that'll keep code and data structure separate. So, I can add new
fields, and never have to change the code.
