Personally, I've always suspected the Hard disk game is a complete raquet.
I mean seriously, how difficult would it be, to make a reasonably cheap storage
medium, sans moving parts?
Not too difficult, with the sorts of _huge_ budgets the hard disk manufacturers
have... that said, said manufacturers would hardly have such big budgets to
play with, if their products were more reliable.
Seems a bit of an oxymoron to rely on a vendor to make 'better' products, when
a core contingent of their budget comes from replacements.
