Hi Brendan,
I picked up a Tevion TV Card in Aldi for 49.99. I noticed last week they
were still selling them.
They are based on a Philips Chipset (saa7134), and with slight
midification, I got the video4linux driver to work with it. (I haven't
got around to sending the updates to the maintainer yet though)

Unfortunately this is all I have done to date. I didn't get the remote
to work, but this was out of lack of investigation.

I believe the Hauppage cards fully work, but if you are looking at a
cheapo card for investigation, this is worth a look.

Incidentally, www.freevo.org is also worth a look - I believe that this
may be more advanced than mythtv.

Good luck, and I'd be interested in hearing how you get on.
Cheers,
Dermot.
