Yeah... thats how I noticed... I always used local dirs/files to
autocomplete, however I have started using the bash autocompletion script.

On the ocasion that I noticed this, I was coping a file from a remote
machine to the local machine, and I was auto-completing the directories
on the local machine, when it suddenly completed the file name too...
I was a little taken aback as that file didn't exist on the local machine
(hence the copying).

It does.

After sourcing the /etc/bash_completion that the package on debian/sarge
installs.
