Waaay overspecced!
I have a 533MHz mini-itx with 128MB RAM doing firewall/5-way
router/VPN/squid, and it's fine: if squid isn't running
top reports something like 40MB used.
Total system excluding squid cache is ~400MB, and 60+ of that is
eminently losable stuff in /usr/share.
So unless you're running squid, I'd say 512MB flash and 128MB RAM is
pretty generous.

I suppose that depends on whether you're writing your system logs to a
remote machine (man syslog.conf) or not...
