Well, the manufacturer thinks that it contains a hard disk but I suppose it
could be wrong - http://www.creative.com/products/product.asp?prodid=9743
But I have heard of people buying them just to get the disks, as you can't buy
the disk retail for anything close to that price. But I fail to see why that
would cause a problem for the supplier - more sales is usually NOT counted as
a problem.

Not unless the system has crashed and you're relying on using the logs to try
to see what happened.
