interesting, but there's still no way to get Eircom to investigate a 
DSL line fault / test fail. :)

That there's a workaround is interesting and useful, and more 
evidence as to the sillyness of not being able to ring eircom and ask 
"can you try fix whatever the problem is that causes my line to fail 
for DSL?".
