As those who know me will know, I am a big fan of Linux and open source
software, both for religious and pragmatic reasons. My chosen open source mail
server for some time has been postfix, because I have this thing about being
able to read the configurations files for software I use - but that could just
be me.

However, I also sometimes use a proprietary mail server called Communigate
Pro. For those looking for a very competent mail server, which is very easy to
admin using a web interface, it's well worth looking at, as long as your
religious views don't absolutely prohibit paying for software.

I recently converted a customer using postfix and cyrus to Communigate Pro. He
wanted to do something else with his web server, which I knew worked out of
the box with Communigate, but which was going to take X amount of time to make
work with postfix / cyrus AND in the future, as the box was upgraded (it's
running RH9 which clearly has to be changed sometime in the not too distant
future) who was to know what might break as various elements of the total mail
solution were changed.

Usual yada yada about no commercial relationship with Stalker Software except
as a satisified customer, but I just thought this might interest some people.

Oh, a fully functional time unlimited (adds a banner to every mail) demo
version is available.
