Hi Conor,
          I tried to use the esat & other mirrors using the pub/suse/i386/9.1
& tried setting YAST to use http but still no joy.
Unfortunately the machine is at home so I won't get to it till this evening -:(
BTW, I can ftp the sites from the command line no problem & see the SuSE dir's,
so I guess I could just get the files that way, but by using YAST I would 
solve the dependencie issues at the same time.
