These are the backing stores used by various IMAP daemons. That some
are formats common to other mail programmes is incidental. Cyrus btw,
uses mail per file (usually) iirc, it's the indices to mail contents
which are kept in 'internal' formats.

Note that there are imap utilities (eg imapcopy) which will work with 
any IMAP folder, regardless of the backing sotre the IMAP server 
uses.
