I am on a list elsewhere for CCIE candidates, and they have a rule that
says your first posting to a list must be approved.

I don't know if mailman would support this, but is there someway to 
configure the list so a posting is accepted if it comes from either a
subscriber address or an address that has previously posted to the list.
