Maybe I'm missing something here, but I think the original poster would be 
doing something more along the lines of punching down rather than 
crimping. Punch down is much more fun than crimping and, so long as you 
make sure to pick the appropriate wiring scheme on both ends of your cable 
run, all should be easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Quick tip from experience: label both ends of the cables when you run 
them. Guesswork can lead to a messy patch panel.
