If you want decent bandwidth - No it can't.
Wireless is great for mobility, or p2p links over miles. However imagine
20 office users sharing a 54mbit (actual c26 mbit) network. That's much
worse than a 10mbit switched network. It'd drive people insane.

Then there's the added security issues, possibilities of interference,
latency/QOS problems, the fact that the quality of the network decreases
out of proportion to the increase in number of users. Wireless is a long
long way from replacing wired for offices, or even many homes.

PS I'm a big wireless fan, I can check my email from the bus stop thanks
to the antenna on my roof :) But it's not a panacea to the hassles of
building a decent network
