[ILUG] mac based live cd

Hi,

my brother's G4 iMac appears to have lost a Master Boot Record or some
such.  It ain't booting anyway and a "no entry" sign appears.  This is
after a failed attempt to mount it as a Firewire disk.

Apparently (I'm not there) the OS X install cd has tools which are not
recognising any partitions (there are/were two).

So I'm looking for a PowerPC live linux CD.  Can anyone recommend one and
does anyone have any further sugestions?  I notice a few here

Would any of them read HFS+?
