I'm not subscribed to social, I live in Belfast so it's not really
practical for me to go to meetings or get togethers. I do enjoy the ilug
mailing list though, which is where I thought I was having this
discussion.

Rick, did it ever occur to you that not everyone is working in a large
corporate? I know that everything you say is 100% sound business
practise, on a more personal level I find your site an excellent
resource. But almost nothing of what you say is applicable to me in my
situation. You need to understand that different people have different
perpectives on things. 
The world needs people like you, but not everyone is like you.
