[ILUG] Mozilla-mail with eircom

Thanks very much for your suggestion.
I notice that the port is set to 147, 
which seems to correspond to IMAP protocol.
I get no response on telnetting to this port,
thougth I do when telnetting to 109 or 110.
Does that mean I should be using POP?
I had the idea most mail-servers nowadays
allow one to use either?
(I confess to great ignorance on this as on many topics.)

I changed the protocol to POP, and this is using port 110,
but I still get the same error in mozilla-mail,
although I get the following telnet response,
which seems healthy:
