I used to work for Barry in the old days, as did I good few people on this
list. I remember him telling about the possibilities of the internet 6,7,8
or so before they were realised. I'm sure that he can still speak
passionately about technology today.
There is a good storys about funding of IOL with credit cards, about moving
IOL to Dublin, several stories about talking to MS in Ireland (getting up at
4am to press an "OK" dialog, mapping ASP to SSI on linux; We are running MS
I promise) etc..
and I good one about hiring an ex-butcher as a IOL sales guy " 'cus he had a
car "
His outfit on the first day of the new dress code in IOL/postgem was classic
too ...
ah ... the old days...
