25-pin D-type or 50 way Centronics? Presume it's ordinary 50 way 0.1"
pitch IDC connector on the 2940...?

You could try disembowelling an old Macintosh. Some of the late CISC / 
early PowerPC ones had a case-mounted 25-pin D on a ribbon cable plugged
onto the motherboard (or 'logic board' in Apple parlance of course...)
