Can I just add a personal observation, as someone who is stepping down from
the committee for personal reasons.

In the last year in particular i've noticed a number of members of the ILUG
complaining ILUG should do more, with the vague idea that more is to do with
promoting Linux.    However, no one seems to have any concrete ideas on
what "more" should consist of - and a number of people who were shouting on
the list last week about ILUG dying have been guilty in the past of coming
up with big ideas, and then not following through on the commitments they
made.

At the moment, we have a website (albeit with old content), an active
mailing list and an active IRC community.    On the whole, newbies are
treated well, and in general we're doing okay as a grouping.

If people feel this isn't sufficent, they are free to say so.    But be
prepared to do something about it - i'm fed up of seeing people whinging
about "ILUG should do this, that.   And this thing that way rather than 
this way" and then when asked to do it, fail to be any more use than a
wet piece of tissue in a rain storm.
