[ILUG] Which Distro ?

I'm running ubuntu on a thinkpad T21 and it definately lives up to the hype,
It detected and configured everything in the install without asking
(including acpi and a atheros(madwifi) based card). Gnome 2.8 and kernel
2.6.8 as standard. The only drawback is that the default repository is
pretty small , and theres no kde packages yet if you are a kde fan. The
universe repository which is going to provide unsupported access to all
debian packages is not complete yet so i've had to install mplayer and
a few other bits and pieces from source.

Because it's funded by Mark Shuttleworth (who is worth a few $100M)
He likes Python, Debian and Gnome (like myself) and hence the focus
