GLX is OpenGL on X protocol, it allows running OpenGL apps on X windows
either directly or indirectly (i.e. over a network), GLX is a standard
from SGI originally..
DRI is an open source implementation of GLX for XFree86 and Xorg, ATI use
it in their drivers also, NVIDIA don't use the DRI architecture which is
rather unfortunate as if we ever get two cards 3D accelerated working in
one machine they won't work with an NVIDIA... as they have their own libGL
(ATI ship their own one but in theory shouldn't have to...)
