hi,
I had the exact same problem, running gentoo, But i can't remember how i
fixed it ;(, Looking at past posts on gentoo.org forum i think that it
had something to do with msdos support.(I have it enabled in my
kernel),but also i think that IDE support need to be build into the
kernel rather than module, I could be wrong,anyway if i do remember the
solution i will post it here.
