[ILUG] Scratching a timesheet itch

I wrote easytimer for Doolin people, and have been meaning to stick it
on the doolin site for download. It used to be called lazytimer,
easytimer seemed a bit more professional sounding but still got the
general message across (that'd be the "we hate filling in timesheets"
message).
There's a gnome panel applett with a list of projects, you pick one, it
pops up a window for you to add a comment, then it saves the timestamp,
project name and comment out to a file. There are a couple of perl
scripts for shoving the data up to a central server at the end of the
day, and dumping the lot into a DB. Then there's a web front end for
reports and stuff (even exports to excel as of the last version, I
think).
There's also most of a windows client, and some crazy people made their
own clients, like the emacs one. Or you can enter stuff via the web
front end if you forget or don't want to use the clients.
We've been using it for some time now and it's way handier than having
to remember what you're working on and fill in some sort of timesheet at
the end of the week.
I suppose I could stick it all up on the site for download. I might
need to clean it up a wee bit before a public release though.
Kathryn.
