Try quickswitch... it stores multiple network setups for both lan and
wlan (as well as samba shares etc.) and it's as simple as typing
switchto work / switchto home to change and you can even pass
parameters to it when booting up your machine. It also has a lovely
gnome tray applet jobby called trayswitcher... I think that should help!
