If we're actually being pedantic, it is in fact ethernet.

On the general DSL thing - my advice in general with regard to 
getting DSL from Eircom is don't - especially if you're an
SME.   The quality of what they will tell you is suspect to 
say the least (most businesses for example don't use Windows or
MAC boxes to hook up their DSL link but a router jobbie).

Using the smaller companies (eg Netsource, Digiweb) is better for you
in terms of both customer service and extending the choice in the market.
