Odd that you should mention that:  People on MacOS who want to sync a
Sony Clie or many (not all) other brands PalmOS devices end up having to
pay extra bucks for an add-on piece of proprietary software from
California, called Missing Sync -- whereas with Linux on that same Mac,
you typically just use pilot-xfer front-ended by JPilot.  

But I'm delighted that you're happy.  Me, I've seen entirely too much of
the Church of Steve over the years.

And yet, they don't -- unless you keep throwing away your older gear as
it drops off the supported devices list.

Yes, this is what I was referring to, about the commendable efficiency
of buying the solution from the same firm that gave you the problem.
Of course, some of us check driver support _before_ buying.
