Eircom won't give you ISDN if you are > 5km from an ISDN enabled switch (90%
are), or if your line is provided by a carrier (ie 16.8k), so you better
check that too.

I use a PSTN up / Satellite down product from http://www.silvermead.co.uk.

This uses the SKY TV satellite, so you need a dish lined up by someone who
knows SKY. You can also just order SKY and get a dual-LMB fitted to the
dish.

Costs:

£99.00 equipment and £19.99 per month subscription

http://www.digiweb.ie do a Satellite up and down product, but the the
equipment is > ?1000.00, and I think the sub is ?50 or so.

Latency is a factor is both products, although Silvermead are putting a lot
of effort into bringing it down to acceptable levels.
