I use it with ESAT anytime (180 hours per month day or night). Total 
cost about €60 ex vat / month. I use pppd dial on demand and as Colm 
says, there's a very short delay to bring up the link. Latency is good, 
even though I've got an external TA - fine for ssh anyway. Sustained 
throughput is close to theoretical (8K/sec).

I've never bothered combining channels.

I've been told by the Eircom guy out doing a couple of repairs that I 
probably wouldn't get ISDN (down the end of bohreen) if I was ordering now.
