Yes, but then you have an email address in your HTML. I doubt spammers really
go though webpages and attempt to read them, they just run pattern matches
against HTML. So if I have <IMG SRC="myemailaddress.png" ALT="blah at blah.com">,
it's no better then just usign a mailto: link.
