I don't think your process would need to be a 'thread' ... at the kernel 
level, shouldn't all threads/processes be lightweight kernel threads and 
therefore, if your kernel 'sees' two CPUs and it's up to the hyperthread 
scheduler to allocate your process context accordingly?

Maybe that's just wrong though.
