What really annoys me is the fact the some distros intall Linux-LSB
software like CUPS and Sendmail whether they are needed/selected or not
just because the LSB seems to think they should be standard Linux apps.

| And for comparison purposes, minimalist CentOS 4 install:
| 656M
|
| including such important apps for servers as:
| bluez-hcidump-1.11-1
| bluez-utils-2.10-2.1
| bluez-libs-2.10-2
| bluez-bluefw-1.0-6
| NetworkManager-0.3.1-3
| xorg-x11-Mesa-libGL-6.8.1-23.EL
| xorg-x11-libs-6.8.1-23.EL
| desktop-file-utils-0.9-2
|
| ubuntu seems to be a perfectly good start for a server for me (though
| the 6 month upgrade cycle might put me off. But if you're going to
| consider FC for a server, ubuntu would seem to be better in almost all
| areas. Not biased at all. me.. never).
