Uh-huh... old habits die hard.

But seriously kids, I thought swaret or slapt-get got renamed to one of
the package managers that actually come with 'extra' these days

http://ftp.heanet.ie/mirrors/ftp.slackware.com/pub/slackware/slackware-10.1/extra

We're probably just spoiled for choice with package managers in
Slackware these days </plug>

Still, as much as I'd like to join in with the Debian bashing, I live in
hope that Debian dropping the majority of supported architectures, will
actually allow a degree of sanity, to come to Debian's release cycle. I
like the Debian/Ubuntu ethos of having 'just' free software as default,
even if it means that OpenOffice doesn't function completely.

Didn't Ben Franklin say "He who gives up the ability to use totally Open
Standards and Free Software, in favour of functionality, deserves
neither Free Software Nor Functionality" or you know... words to that
effect !
