One that isn't a major pain to get recognised or add music to.

I know people who've had the same problems with a FAT32 formatted iPod as
he describes, and installing HFS support is extra hassle, and apparently
not reliable either.

Flash players aren't much use IMO. If I can't bring a large music
collection around with me I don't see the point. The Creative Zen NX
is a right PITA to get working - I suppose I'll go have another attempt at
it soon, but all I remember from last time was no official packages and
dependency hell.
