Hi All

I am currently completing my MBS thesis in UCD on Open Source Software
adoption by Irish Organisations. My thesis focuses on the reasons and
decision processes that accompany a migration from proprietary software
to Open Source software. I have been doing a substantial amount of work
in this area over the last two years. I am now ready to commence the
field work part of my research. I would now be very interested in
finding out more about Irish Organisations and their (successful or
otherwise!!!) adoption of, and migration to Open Source Software.

I would really be interested in talking to anyone who is part of an
organisation that has either successfully or unsuccessfully completed a
migration to OSS, or who are currently considering a migration to OSS.

I think this is a very important issue for Irish organisations, and I
firmly believe that my research in this area will add significantly to
the knowledge of the Open Source community in Ireland. All help and
advice will be very very much appreciated.

My own background is as a lecturer in Institute of Technology Carlow. I
am a Chartered Accountant by profession, and I also
have a BBS in accounting from the Institute of Public Administration. I
have been studying for a Masters Degree in eCommerce in UCD for the last
2 years.

Kindest Regards, and thanks in advance,
PJ Wall
