That was in reference to the ICS (Irish Computer Society), an altogether
less business-oriented organisation. However, Minister Cullen really meant
ICTE (Irish Citizens for Trustworthy e-Voting). Because of this mistake,
he was forced to retract his comments, and did so in an obscure sentence
in a speech to Dáil Éireann a few weeks later. I'm not certain, but if I
remember correctly, the speech wasn't even about the electronic voting
issue. If you coughed, you would have missed the "correction" completely.
On the other hand, and sticking with the I.S.A., I sent the following to
ILUG when the mailing list server was acting up, and I'm not certain that
everyone (or anyone) got it:

Hi ILUG,
Some of you may remember a comment by the chairperson of the Irish
Software Association in a commercial supplement in the Irish Times about a
month ago.
I wrote to the person to whom the comments were attributed, rather than to
the Irish Times, to express my personal offense and what he said, and to
attempt to explain why I felt he was wrong.
It turns out that he was speaking without the authority of the Irish
Software Association.
My write-up is here:
