So what you're saying is software patents are (in the short to medium term)
genuinely beneficial to the Irish economy but are harmful to most other
nations and in the long term they're probably harmful to all concerned.
If the above is not good enough reason for our politicians to oppose the
legislation, it should certainly be for everyone else's. Maybe it would be
more productive to write a complete argument stating the above and give it
to the policitians of every other country which is being screwed. We won't
affect their votes, but their economy certainly will.
