[ILUG] smartlink modem driver on fedora FC3 kernels [scanned]

Hi,

I am not subscribed to this list as I just found it via google when I
ran into the same trouble today.

As I found a solution to this problem, I wanted to inform you about my
success:

The drivers supplied by smartlink seem to be a variant of these drivers:
http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/smartlink/

Using one of these packages you will compile slamr into a modules that
inserts cleanly into FC3 kernels including 2.6.11-1.14_FC3:
http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/smartlink/slmodem-2.9.9d.tar.gz
http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/smartlink/slmodem-2.9.9d-
alsa.tar.gz

2.9.9d is dated 2005-04-25, so they also seem to be more recent than
2.9.10 by smartlink.

I am sure this will solve our problems, although I was unable to test it
until now.
