Because the driver needs to be loaded on it initrd . The issue isn't
really how the driver is loaded, basically my issue is that I have no
source code with the default kernel on AS 2.1 and I want to compile
kernel .25.  I've tried all kinds of approaches at this point so
really what I'm wondering is if there is someone out there who has
done this before and can offer some kind of solution or steps to take.
the driver in question is cciss.o.
