The "main" blog is not, nor has it ever really been, in use. I was
thinking of the various blogs that people have hosted at
blogs.linux.ie. You have to be on the ILUG mailing list to have one.
Here are three examples of such blogs with tech related content in
their most recent post (at the time of writing):
There are more.

I didn't really intend to set anybody off on a rant on the issue of
blogs in general, although I suppose some are really quite unable to
resist any opportunity to rant. I was merely pointing out the fact
that there are several members of the ILUG community who keep
interesting and linux/tech related blogs and that, furthermore, these
are hosted at linux.ie and, as such, count as a part of ILUG's web
presence that isn't entirely stagnant.

I did not suggest that this should be "presented as ILUG's
organisational public presence". To quote myself, and hopefully force
you to actually read what I say, I said that these blogs "could then
be given some front-page presence". *Some* front-page presence. I
did not say that the aggregator should become the front page of the
site. I was thinking of something along what we already have to show
us the "Newest mail on [I,Cork]LUG".
I'm just trying to make a small suggestion. Please take it as such.
p.s. - apologies to Rick for sending this to him privately at first,
rather than sending it to the list as a whole.
