Hello,
I've got a Debian server with a SpeedTouch 330 rev 4.00 DSL modem on an
Eircom i-stream enhanced DSL line. Every so many days (usually 7 - 10
days, it gets knocked offline presumably by some system Eircom use to
ensure other DSL lines don't retain a dynamic IP for extended periods.
Can anyone suggest a method to try and retain my connectivity or even
to try reconnecting quickly to limit the downtime?
My /etc/ppp/peers/istream looks like:
user username at eircom.net
name username at eircom.net
linkname istream
noipdefault
defaultroute
lcp-echo-interval 20
lcp-echo-failure 3
persist
#mtu 1492
noaccomp
plugin /usr/lib/pppd/2.4.3/rp-pppoe.so
