I like the idea of a PowerPC for sure, the only real desire is to get a 
64 bit box... again, for no good reason, except for if I'm spending 
€1000 on a 32 bit machine, the way I see it, it's worth €600 extra for a 
mans-man cpu

Pricing and operating system, Xserve is blackbox Apple software-magic is 
it not? Ideally said server will be running, Debian or OpenBSD.

Ideally, the budget stays <=€2000, since colocation will cost about 
€1000 itself, that said if I could find a 64 bit box for you know, like 
€1000, I wouldn't say no, and instead might just upgrade it 
incrementally. I realise entry level Dell would be much cheaper, so, 
while I'd like a 64 bit machine, ideally that 64 bit machine is _as_ 
cheap as they get, in that category of server.
