Apologies, misnomer, I meant environment.

Doesn't change the fact that such applications abound and have to be
dealt with individually. Ergo if Kiall's definition of whether or not a
certain browser has been set as default is clicking on a link in (insert
appname here) and that browser opening then it bares mentioning.
