IME NO SuSE version upgrade has ever worked properly. I did have one or 
two which appeared to work i.e. there were no error messages. The only 
distributions with which I have happy upgrading experiences are the 
Debian based ones. Of course YMMV and probably does.

Not supported by design. Use YaST to do an online update, and install 
Multimedia-Option-Pack-1 .
