Hmm, no. It's the Linux *admins* list.

If a Linux user must subscribe to this list to use Linux, it's most 
definitely a deficiency.

Indeed.

To be honest, it's fairly damn easy to just collapse and ignore 
threads one is not interested in - i do it all the time, even if they 
are Linux/unix related. (Course, one needs to use a non-crippleware 
MUA..). I prefer to see helpful answers, even if just "Try googling 
for xyz, and this subject isn't appropriate for this list" - we all 
regularly make mistakes when we hit the send button.
