[ILUG] thoughts on vendors entries

Hmmm, it would actually be a concern if we publicly slated companies
without their prior consent. As in a lugger recommends a vender
without their knowledge and they get added to the site list only to be
widely rebuked by other members. This kind of adverse publicity would
not be accepted. To avoid this you would have to have a mechanism for
venders to remove themselves from the listing. This in turn would lead
to any vender who gets bad press removing themselves from the list.
Hmmm, perhaps leaving well enough alone isn't a bad option at all. If
you're interested in a listed vender then a quick search through the
archives will no doubt produce quite a number of heartfelt opinions
and further invesigation should be up to the searcher. Anyhow this
will no doubt suffer from the bikeshed* effect with conflicting views
and little consensus, I've cast my vote so let the viewers decide :)
