I wondered that too. Apparently some sort of javascript/xml thingy
that sits between you and the web server making things seem much more
zippy. A nice simple explanation with diagrams:

Does anyone on the list use this? What's the development overhead like
compared to doing regular ol' web-browser/web-server applications?
