[ILUG] where are the Irish "Summer of Code" entrants?

Countries of applicants for the Google 2005 "Summer of Code" contest;
Ireland has only 19 applicants, behind about 40 other countries. Not too
surprising to see the obvious top ones (US, UK, Russia, China, Germany,
France, Spain) -- but ahead of Ireland we have Estonia, Ukraine, Italy,
Pakistan, Romania, Portugal, Greece, Mexico, Belarus, and Latvia.

Have all the Irish college kids been brainwashed by MS, or something?
Or are they all already interning at google anyway and therefore
not permitted by the T&Cs?
