yeah, really sad.
i was so looking foreward to my coarse, as time went on ive become
more synical about it.
now i have nothing for contempt for my college in general, anyone asks
& i try to put them off going there.
at least with dcu there's the redbrick network.
dont know about anywhere else, but in my place there's only room for
what's taught on the coarse.
everything else is practicaly barred, no learning other stuff on
college resources oh no.
officially theres a process where you can apply to have a resource
made available but it's just a joke.
you make the application to I.T(which is outsourced), you then need a
lecturer to say it's needed for the coarse, you then need to go to the
head of informatics with the lecturer & then all 3 have to make the
applicaton once again to I.T who will review it.

so far i havent heard anything back from I.T about having an Adobe SVG
plugin installed but i still have hope.

the college in question? National College of Ireland, that's right the
one down the IFSC, with the new building.
Advise all concerned to avoid it at all costs.
