Someone has already started a similar project at wikibooks.org:
http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Irish
It doesn't (currently) seem to take the Irish school syllabi into account.
Two other ideas:
If you can encourage people to contibute to ga.wikipedia.org that would be
great.
And it would be especially great (IMO) if you could make some audio
recordings of some of the ga.wikipedia.org pages being read - or if you
could encourage someone similar to do same.
For info about Project Spoken Wikipedia see:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Spoken_Wikipedia
The languages box shows that audio recordings of artcles are also available
for at least German, Dutch, and Spanish, but there are none yet for Irish.
ga.wikipedia.org is a great resource for preserving the Irish language, and
it would be even better if it had audio.
A translation of the gnu.org front page or any of the essays would be cool,
but the above ideas have more practical value.
