Get the mplayer-plugin, it does exactly what it says on the tin.
Bit buggy though, e.g.: if you refresh the page, the webbrowser will close.

I use it for watching the motogp live streaming, primarily because realone
does not work for some reason. I can normally watch real streaming, except
for the onboard bike cam's.

It doesn't even work without the firewall, I've tested this.

In my case, all the codes are installed as I can play all file types if
they are downloaded. Its only the "mms" sites which do not work -> except
with the mplayer-plugin.
